If you can't make it to a funeral, don't worry about it. Just go online and you won't miss a thing.

Israel's main Jewish burial society, Khevra Kadisha, has launched a unique service allowing funerals to be broadcast online and for mourners to view them all over the world.

"People who wish to join their family in their grief but can't attend the funeral because they live abroad or they are in hospital can view it on the Internet," spokesman Menahem Gsheid told AFP.

At the family's request, cameras are placed at the different sites in the cemetery and follow the funeral from the reception hall where the deceased is eulogized through to the burial site.

Distant relatives and friends can log onto the Khevra Kadisha Website and, using an access code provided by the family, view the funeral from their computer.
