200 cars involved in worst UAE crash ever

At least six people were killed and around 40 were injured on Tuesday in what seems to be the worst accident to ever be recorded in the history of the United Arab Emirates.

According to local police, more that 200 cars were involved in the massive pile-up that occurred on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi road with 25 cars catching fire, local daily Gulf News reported.

The injured, some of them in critical condition were rushed to local hospitals as dozens of helicopters and patrol cars were rushed to the scene.
Police sources blamed poor visibility condition brought about by heavy fog as the main reason for the crash.
