U.S. diva Mariah Carey and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie have both cancelled their performances at the 'Divas in Dubai' gig scheduled for next week, press reports said Firday.
Thousands of fans were left disappointed and in need of a refund as event organizers released a statement saying: “We regret to announce the Divas in Dubai event is being rescheduled to a later date in fall 2008,” the UAE daily 7DAYS reported.
Mel Tyler, of Midas Promotions, said the cancellation was due to a tight schedule and problems with the logistics of the concerts, the UAE's Gulf News reported.
The producer of the show said Carey --the world’s number one-selling female artist and Fergie were disappointed that they won't be able to perform for their Dubai fans.
Dubai residents were already skeptical about the concert which was being arranged at such short notice and those who have already bought tickets will be given a full refund, Gulf News said.
