In a world where the virtual seems to have overtaken the printed, Morocco’s print journalism survives, challenging a long-held belief that newspapers are dying.
Dozens of print newspapers and magazines are still Moroccans’ most preferred sources of news. and can be found on stands all over the country on a daily basis. A recent boom in online news websites initially raised fears about the future of newspapers, but now questions are raised on whether online news media can reach the same level of professionalism and encourage Moroccans to give up on printed material once and for all.
