Thousands of people demonstrated Saturday in the Algerian city of Bejaia in response to calls from an opposition party demanding "regime change," organizers said.
The demonstrators marched peacefully through the streets of Bejaia, responding to a call of the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD), an opposition party well-established in the Berber dominated north eastern region of Kabylia.
