While Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has been since the start of the February 17 revolution linked to bone-chilling stories as he goes on killing his people and crushing any resistance to his 42-year-old rule, he has also become a comic figure with countless online videos making fun of his speeches.

Singer, comedian, cartoon character

One of the most popular videos that appear on top of the Gaddafi search options is “Gaddafi the singer,” in which his speech where he threatened to pursue rebels in every street and every alley is made into a hip hop song. He is also featured in a duet with Colombian singer Shakira.

Gaddafi’s words have also proved inspirational to other singers. U.A.E. singer Yasser Habib modeled a song after Gaddafi speech, where he expresses his concerns as he searches for his beloved in every street and every inch.

Other videos featured songs inspired by his second speech which he gave from the top a castle and in which he asked his people to sing and dance and celebrate life.

In addition to becoming a singer, Gaddafi has also been made a comedian as several videos made him appear with famous Egyptian actor Adel Emam and the latter seems to be baffled by the Libyan leader’s words, none of which he is able to understand.

In videos where Gaddafi did not appear in person, his voice was used over cartoon characters like Adnan in the Arab World's famous children’s series "Adnan and Lina".

In another video, an African actor speaks with Gaddafi’s voice as he bids farewell to his beloved with one of the speeches then disappears into the jungle to fight his enemies.

Gaddafi’s dummy is also shown on the talent show Arabs Got Talent, aired on MBC4. In the video, Gaddafi performs several times in front of the jury, yet they fail him every time.

Some videos show people who look like Gaddafi from all over the world, one of them a Japanese martial arts champion who loses his balance in one of the moves he performs.
