This week in Baghdad the opening of Fadhel’s mini-cinema marked the start of an ambitious plan to build 30 theatres in the capital in the next four years.
Entrepreneur Zaid Fadhel has spent $800,000 to revive cinemas in Iraq after decades of dictatorship that shut movie houses and fear of bombings that kept people at home.
