A valuable piece of art by the legendary master Picasso was displayed for the first time ever in the West Bank on June 24th, at a Palestinian art academy during the “Picasso in Palestine” exhibition.
Picasso’s “Buste de Femme” is on loan from the Van Abbe museum in Eindhoven, Holland.
The artwork on display is considered one of Picasso’s iconic works. The 1943 master piece is 39 by 31 inch oil-on-canvas, and portrays a cubist deconstruction of a woman’s face. The artwork has been exhibited throughout the world in the past 50 years and is worth 7 million US dollars.
