Since the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak over 5 months ago, Egypt has observed a sudden surge of change in security, government, and particularly media.
Restrictions are absent allowing the emergence of new media outlets and the return of banned Egyptian TV icons during President Mubarak’s rule, such as Sheikh Omar Abdul Kafy and Hala Sarhan.
The revolution has proven to be a catapult for critics, who were previously suppressed from discussing issues that concerned the country.
