Palestine International Festival

Wast El Balad, an 8-member band hailing from Egypt, was one of the highlights of The Palestine International festival this year. In Ramallah, the group performed songs inspired by the events of the so-called Arab Spring.

Their lyrics spoke of the revolutions in the region and the role that the young people are playing in changing their countries.

International performers from nations including Egypt, Algeria, Spain and Chile are perform alongside local acts in numerous venues across West Bank cities, allowing audiences to enjoy global art and culture. This is the 13th “edition” of the festival.

The festival ends on July 9.
