Kuwaiti Singer Performs for Palestine

Kuwaiti artist, Abdullah Ruwaished performed in a huge concert in the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, last Thursday evening. More than 11 thousand people attended his performance.

In an interview with "Al Arabia", Ruwaished expressed his joy to visit Palestine and closely learn about its cities and citizens, adding that he was moved to tears when he visited Jerusalem and prayed there, on Thursday morning.

"There's no doubt that if I was in Palestine, I'd feel as if I were in Kuwait. Palestine is the land of prophets and purity, and there is great respect and appreciation. Palestine has educated me through its culture and heritage.
I was very happy by the hospitality and generosity offered to me when I first arrived to the Palestine Embassy from Amman, and then to Ramallah, followed by Nablus, where I spent a special evening with my fans.
I've seen Palestine on TV and now, at 50 years old, and I have been given this opportunity to see the sites, such as Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
I felt both fear and awe upon my visit to Jerusalem, so pure and sacred. I felt a strong sense of spirituality as I wept and read the Quran."

Furthermore, on the occasion of his first visit to Palestine, Ruwaished sang for the very first time a new song about Palestine, which he will be recording and shooting upon his return to Kuwait.
