From New Strait Times: Malaysians win Quran recital competition

Malaysia’s representative won both categories in the 53rd International Quran Recital Competition last night.

Amirrahman Abas of Negri Sembilan and Suraya Abu Hassan of Johor beat 79 participants from 50 countries.

Mr. Amirrahman scored 89. 26 per cent while Ms. Suraya gained 88.33 per cent.
