From Haaretz: Netanyahu mulls tax breaks as Israelis ready for nationwide protests

Organizers of the housing protests that have become a nationwide phenomenon said Saturday that cities throughout Israel would be holding demonstrations complete with musical performances from artists wishing to show their support for the fight to lower housing prices in Israel.

According to Likud MK Ofir Akunis, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is setting up a team to examine the lowering of taxes. Mr. Akunis told Army Radio that “the government is attentive to the public, and so it is working to ease the burdens.”
