Saboteurs target Al Arabiya’s broadcast yet again

Al Arabiya News Channel was jammed for the second time in one week by an unknown source.

This deliberate jamming seems to have been intended to interrupt Al Arabiya’s coverage of events taking place in the Arab region.

The channel can be watched on its original permanent frequency on the Nilesat, as well as these alternative frequencies:

(12341 Vertical, Symbol Rate 27500, FEC 3/4)
(12476 Horizontal, Symbol Rate 27500, FEC 3/4)
(11488 Horizontal, Symbol Rate 27500, FEC 3/4)

These two recent incidents are not the first times that Al Arabiya has been deliberately jammed. At the beginning of the Libyan revolution the broadcast was jammed, and an investigation concluded that the jamming was instigated from a Qaddafi-regime intelligence center east of Tripoli.
