From the Daily Star Lebanon: Lebanon sets record for largest serving of kammouneh
Lebanon is the proud holder of yet another Guinness World Record, this time for producing the world’s largest portion of kammouneh, a Lebanese national dish.
Residents from across Bint Jbeil celebrated their victory Saturday after having prepared the plate, measuring 3 meters in diameter and weighing in at over half a ton.
Sixty men and women from the southern border town took part in preparing the kammouneh dish, which consisted of 250 kilograms of tomatoes, 15 kilograms of bulgur, 100 liters of olive oil as well as 20-kilogram mixture of mint, salt, pepper and salad seasoning. …
