Amateur footage uploaded on September 9 on social media site, YouTube, shows protesters burning the Russian flag on a street in Houran, Syria.

Russia has loyally opposed efforts by various Western governments in drafting a UN resolution against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but instead has suggested an alternative draft requesting extended time for the implementation of reforms.
