These images give the impression that Syrian soldiers are documenting what they see as “adventures” in the standoff between the regime and the anti-Assad protesters.
This shot gets close to a soldier who wants to be portrayed as a hero in the lead of his defenseless victim after he decided to punish the latter in his own way.
According to Syrian activists, the desire to intimidate protesters are the reason Syrian military leadership allows the filming.
Syrian opposition members are paying good money on the black market for the images, and the worse the violence the higher the price. The activists are publishing the images on the internet.
