BEIRUT: Having mixed feelings about mixed beaches? Why not try one of Lebanon’s beach resorts exclusively for women?Lebanon hosts a number of options for women’s beaches. One of the most popular is the Palms resort in Khaldeh, founded by Nada Dbeir.

According to Dbeir, a mother who devoted her life to opening up a full relaxation zone for women, the purpose of a women’s beach is not specifically to devalue mixing sexes but rather to offer comfort to women who are displayed at the beach like they would be in their private homes, explained the founder of Palms.

But despite this simple pursuit, Dbeir finds that women’s beaches are often misunderstood.
