Missing American reportedly found dead in Lebanon

Several media outlets, including the LBC television station, are reporting that the body of an American, John Redwine, was found on Tuesday in a mountainous region of Lebanon near the town of Baskinta.

Redwine, who was reported missing on Saturday while hiking in the area, was from Souix Falls, Iowa, and had been working in the region in media and communciations jobs. His last job was reportedly as a freelance journalist with Fox News.

Redwine attended the American University of Beirut, from which he graduated with a master’s degree in Middle East Studies.
