Syrians residing in Libya, including those who fled the violence in their country in the recent months, held a protest in Tripoli's Martyrs’ Square , previously known as the Green Square, demanding the Arab League and the United Nations to protect Syrian people from “massacres” committed by the regime of President Bashaar al-Assad.
The Syrians living in Libya also protested against the interference of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in the Syrian crisis, accusing it of supporting the regime in Damascus.
