Heavy snowfall hits Algeria

Heavy snowfall and frost have hit the interior and coastal parts of Algeria and the weather is expected to continue as such until Monday. Temperature ranges between 3 and 7 degrees celsius on the central and eastern coastal areas and drops below zero in interior areas, particularly in the cities of Setif and Djelfa, where 3 degrees below zero celsius were recorded.

Snow fall has caused traffic blockage on major roads and isolated people in more than 14 provinces.
