A Saudi hacker infiltrates the Syrian president’s inbox
AL ARABIYA.NET
Tuesday 31st January 2012
A Saudi hacker named Salman al-Anzi has infiltrated the email of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and those of key ministers in the country.
Anzi allegedly threatened Assad to publish his and his aides’ “scandals,” which include Iranian support of the regime and copies of his secret emails, according to the Saudi Al-Madina newspaper.
The hacker said that the size of the email documents were about 4GB and that he gave Assad a deadline to carry through with his “conditions” or else he would publish the inbox.
Israeli sources said that the hacker was from Saudi Arabia, according to the newspaper, who had also attempted several failed hacking attempts to gain access to Israeli ministries also. In one instance, the Saudi hacker had successfully posted on a webpage belonging to Deputy Israeli Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon. The hacker wrote: “Sorry Danny, you are not a man and you cannot stop me.”
