Features of Egypt presidential candidates determine their personalities: face reader
A prominent Egyptian psychiatrist specializing in face reading has analyzed the characters of presidential candidates based on their features.
Ashraf Abdullah, who claims to ranks first in physiognomy worldwide, offered a detailed description of the candidates’ features and explained the way their facial expressions can reveal parts of their personalities that are not shown in press interviews and electoral campaigns.
Abdullah started with the most recent and most controversial nominee who was declared Saturday as the Muslim Brotherhood’s official candidate: Khairat al-Shater.
“Shater’s features show that he is an impulsive man who likes to be in control and does not accept criticism,” Abdullah told the Egyptian daily independent al-Masry al-Youm.
Shater’s jaw, Abdullah added, shows that he is a skeptical person and that he likes to meddle in other people’s business.
“His Roman nose indicates that he evaluates things from a materialistic point of view and his relatively small mouth shows how he judges matters personally and how he only seeks advice from people he trusts and is very bossy with people working for him.”
The shape of the head, Abdullah explained, shows Shater as a progressive person who does not like to look back and thinks of the future instead.
“He rarely takes back decisions or changes stances and never gives up any achievement he made.”
Former Minister of Civil Aviation and Hosni Mubarak’s last Prime Minister Lieutenant General Ahmed Shakif is, according to Abdullah, a realistic and optimistic person who always looks forward to the future.
“He loves leadership and can easily turn into a dictator and his exaggerated self-confidence can turn into arrogance.”
Shafik’s features show that he likes to pay a lot of compliments and is more likely to renege on promises says Abdullah.
“His crescent-shaped eyebrows show that he cares about mechanism rather than design and this makes him more efficient in administrative matters.”
The distance between his eyes, Abdullah noted, illustrates that he is generally a calm person who does not lose his temper easily while the distance between his mouth and nose illustrates his sense of humor.
“His onion-shaped nose indicates his curiosity and his wide nostrils show his independence and his protruding chin indicates how he sticks to decisions he makes.”
Shafik’s thin upper lip, said Abdullah, shows that he is not talkative and his jaw shows how controlling he likes to be.
“His ear lopes demonstrate his love for progress and his ambitions.”
The features of Muslim Brotherhood dissident Abdel Moneim Abul Fotouh generally show that he is a serious, independent, and well-mannered man but he can lose his temper easily, according to Abdullah.
“He is also smart and easily adapts to new ideas yet at the same time has the ability to engage in long arguments to prove his point.”
Abul Fotouh’s eyebrows, said Abdullah, show his love for control while his Roman nose shows his love for leadership and his meticulousness in financial matters.”
“His ears indicate that he was put under a lot pressure in his 20s and 30s.”
For Abdullah, Salafi presidential candidate Hazem Salah Abu Ismail’s features reveal his emotional character and his ability to keep his promises, both traits enabling him to be close to the people.
“His eyebrows show how he is more design-oriented which makes him good at planning while his eyes prove that he engages in a great deal of self-criticism which is sometimes taken too far and which makes him a perfectionist.”
From Abu Ismail’s nose, Abdullah explained, it is clear that he likes helping people as much as he likes managing them and his jaw shows that he likes leadership and has a tendency to be controlling.
“His features show that he is very close to his family and does not make friends easily because he is very selective and unable to trust people easily.”
Abu Ismail’s face, Abdullah added, shows that it is very difficult to get promises from him.
“This is because he always wants to make sure he can keep the promises he makes.”
According to Abdullah, former Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa is an analytical personal who has the flexibility to change his opinion and take back his decisions.
“He is sociable but does not talk a lot and prefers to be brief.”
Moussa loves life and is always attracted to the aesthetic aspect of things in a way that can make him a bit impulsive says Adbullah.
“He is very selective and this makes it hard for him for make new friends. He is also extremely independent.”
