‘Arabs Got Talent’ has managed relatively to draw forth the talented people from all over the Arab world. It did more than just simply entertain its viewers, but rather it gave birth to a motivation, urging Arabs to bring their so-long suppressed talents out of the closet, proving that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
A mother depicts the attempt to embrace the talents in our region, a cradle perhaps where all creative and gifted people of all ages can also head for, in order to be appreciated and guided.
But the most important of all is that the program’s three judges and the production team appeared to have enlightened the children to pursue their creativity and develop it on their own.
It is a fact that the human brain learns the most at its early stages, working similar to a sponge absorbing all the information surrounding it; hence it is crucial for the Arab parents to take responsibility as guardians and learn that talented children -- or children who are interested in a certain field -- must be guided at an early age to gain the advantage of time.
This is what ‘Arabs Got Talent’ has succeeded to achieve: at one of the junior schools in the UAE emirate of Sharjah, the students started an activity on their school bus and called it ‘Bus Got Talent.’ They put an arching smile on the face of every person who found out about their innocent, but yet, creative activity.
The children, with ages ranging between 7 and 10, on their afternoon drive back home, chose three judges; two males and a female -- as per the traditional ‘Arabs Got Talent’ customs -- to present chips resembling the grand prize of the one million Saudi riyals to the winner of the ‘Bus Got Talent’ contest.
From there, the competitive spirit was implanted; according to the bus instructor, the junior students have changed to become more active. They have become extremely excited to be dropped off home late, which is positively unorthodox, as they prefer spending more time on the school bus presenting their various talents. Standing before their three judges, with the sun rays reflected on them through the bus windows, the students shine as newly-born stars in the bus. To ensure their safety, all presented talents are supervised by the bus instructor.
The show has positively and constructively touched the youth’s heart to demonstrate that there is more to life than your regular everyday routine. If the right amount of effort is put into it, the outcome will be most definitely falling in love with a talent or a gift just to be gifted back with greatness.
