Al Arabiya art program ‘Nawafeth’ to shine spotlight on Arab artists

Al Arabiya News Channel will launch a new televised, art and culture project “Nawafeth” (Arabic for ‘Windows’) in a bid to promote the best in the region. The first phase of the project will include 100 episodes which will feature profiles of various artists from the Arab world working in different mediums.

The “Nawafeth” series, launched by Al Arabiya General Manager Abdul Rahman al-Rashed and produced by Nowfal al-Janabi, also gives people a chance to interact with the featured artists either through their websites or email.

The new project is part of several ambitious schemes launched by Al Arabiya with the aim of exposing the region to various facets of life, be it news, technology, information, health and now art.

Al Arabiya approach to all it covers is to present news from a human perspective and not just from a narrow political border.
