Syrians in the central province Homs have a new saying: “whoever doesn’t have an armored vehicle, won’t have Eid.”

Residents in al-Talbisa town have defiantly turned a captured armored vehicle into a swing for children to use during the religious festivity of Eid al-Fitr that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

A video released on Sunday, shows Talbisa residents standing on the captured armored vehicle while chanting “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) as two are seen on a swings attached to the barrel of the tank.

The new satirical saying mimics other famous ones used by Syrians such as “only in Syria do people laugh of death.”
