European champions Spain thrashed the national Saudi football team 5-0 in their international friendly match on Friday night.

Spain’s coach Vincente Del Bosque had made sure to include star players in his 23-man team, such as David Villa, who recently recovered from a broken leg, Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique in defense, reported Goal online.

Saudi Arabia had called on to al-Fraidi, al-Jassim, Ali-Kariri, al-Shalhoub to play in midfield position.

In related news, Saudi Arabia already failed to qualify for the Brazil World Cup, only having beaten Thailand in the Asian qualifier matches.

The last time the two countries met was in 2010, when Spain defeated Saudi Arabia 3-2, with Villa, Fernando Llorente, and Xabi Alonso scoring for Spain and Osama Hawsawi and Sultan Al Namare scoring for the Saudi side.
