Saudi artist Mohammed Farea’s art was inspired by a mud house in Abha, the capital of Asir province in Saudi Arabia, a dear place to him.

Thanks to the influence of his hometown, Farea maintained his classical style of painting untouched by the rapid changes of modern time.

“My house is where I belong. So when I draw it, I do it with a heart full of emotions.” Farea said. “I could draw my house in such a way that others may not perceive it as a dwelling place,” he said.

Born Saudi Arabia in 1968, Farea studied computer graphics and quantities, receiving a diploma 1992.

The artist received a medallion of appreciation from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdul-Aziz for organizing and participating in the exhibition held on the margin of conference on the Euro-Saudi relations in 1999 in Rome.

He is member of the Saudi Arabia association for culture and arts and is a founding member of the al-Riyadh artistic collection.
