The president of Egypt’s Al Ahly football club, Hadi Khashaba, has denied reports England’s Hull City was seeking to acquire striker Mohammed Abu Trika, or any other player in the club.

In statement posted on Ahly’s website, Khashaba said he did not discuss with Hull City owner Assem Allam any possible transfer during their meeting.

He said they discussed how the Egyptian club can use Hull City’s medical facilities and send Egyptian youth teams to English to gain experience and training at the club.

Online sports news site KingFut.com reported on Friday that Al Ahly and Hull City are to meet for a friendly, with all profits of the match donated to victims of the Port Said stadium violence.
