Leading fashion illustrator David Downton is set to make his first appearance in the United Arab Emirates this month for the region’s most anticipated fashion event of the year: World of Fashion at Mall of the Emirates.
The international high-fashion illustrator will appear in Dubai this week to host a master class for ten of the region’s most promising fashion talent, who have been carefully selected upon previously submitted works.
This masterclass will provide these students with the opportunity to be mentored under the famous fashion illustrator.
Downton has previously worked with the likes of upmarket fashion brands such as Chanel, Dior, and Tiffany & Co.
David Downton has also created several portraits of various celebrities such as Iman, Linda Evangelista, and Cate Blanchett, and has received praise for his artistic work from high-end designers such as Phillip Treacy and Valentino.
The event itself is for the public. Audiences observing will be able to watch the illustrator in action at the main stage in the Central Galleria in the Mall of the Emirates.
