Super model Heidi Klum is strutting down Dubai, UAE this weekend to film the latest series of “Germany’s Next top Model” with a group of aspiring model contestants.
Klum producer of U.S. “Project runway” as well as “Germany’s Next Top Model” will be meeting with Dubai based designer, Furnes Oneo show casing his new collection “UnHoly” by Amato.
The high-end couture designer made his debut in 2008. One, a Filipino designer has created 46 dresses for display and has appeared on the show for the last five seasons.
The show’s sponsor’s Lock Group says Germany’s Next Top Model is “one of the highest-rated television programs in Europe with about seven million viewers. I’ve been working with the producers for the last couple of months and it’s very exciting to bring them here,” Simon Lock told Gulf News.
He added that the show will be filmed at Meydan race course, Bab al-Shams and Atlantis, The Palm.
The Dubai episode first segment will be held at the Atlantis Hotel showcasing the designs on the cat-walk.
According to Gulf News, One will be showcasing two of his current collections for Klum’s catwalk., one inspired by 1800s Dutch dancer-spy Mata Hari. “The Mata Hari collection is my ode to the late designer Alexander McQueen. It’s my imagination of what he would have created for her had he dressed her,” One told the UAE paper.
American singer Katy Perry has previously made a guest appearance on the German show in 2009 along with One. Perry will be in Dubai for the closing ceremony of the World Parachuting Closing Ceremony at Meydan on Saturday night, wearing a number of One’s designs.
The Dubai designer has previously worked with Katy Perry and designed 12 costumes for her most recent sold-out California Dreams tour which was produced into a documentary “Part of Me,” released earlier in the year.
