US drone kills four suspected militants in Pakistan
Tribesmen demonstrate against continuous drone strikes
A U.S. drone aircraft fired two missiles targeting a vehicle and a house in the North Waziristan tribal region on the Afghan border, killing at least four militants, local intelligence officials said.
"The U.S. drone hit a car immediately after it parked outside a house. Four militants have been killed," an intelligence official in Miranshah told AFP, adding that the vehicle was completely destroyed and the house badly damaged.
"Preliminary reports said all of them were local militants but we are trying to get more information," he added.
There was no independent confirmation of the incident as the remote area is off limits to journalists. Militants often dispute official accounts of such incidents.
