From Arab News: Orphans play major role in Al Birr iftar distribution

Orphan children from the Al Birr charitable society have been involved in the preparation and distribution of 1,000 iftar meals daily at traffic points in different parts of Jeddah.

Mazen Batterjee, chairman of Al Birr, commended orphans for their participation in the program, saying it paints a marvelous picture of solidarity among Saudi society.

He said the participation of orphan children in such charitable activities would encourage them to play an important role in society.
