Changes to Syrian Regime Discussed in Turkey

On Wednesday, Syrian opposition activists convened at a conference in Antalya, Turkey to discuss changes in the regime and come up with a peaceful transition.

The meeting, named “Conference for Change in Syria”, concludes on Friday.

This took place a day after President Bashar Al-Assad declared a general amnesty for all political prisoners, including members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Although the amnesty should cover around 10,000 people, opposers were quick to reject the offer, saying they wish nothing short of a change in regime.
