Lebanese Tourism Gains Boost

As the summer heat approaches, Lebanon’s coast prepares for the expected inflow of visitors.

Hotels, restaurants and cultural centers are all geared up for this year’s long-awaited tourist season.

The country’s tourism sector will especially gain a boost, because the conflicts that have gripped its neighbors have meant that Lebanon is now one of the few havens of stability in the region.

Whilst some citizens remain worried that effects of the unrests in Syria will also affect Lebanon, others, such as Ms. Sara Abu Dhargam, a customer at the seaside resort of Alay, maintain a more positive attitude.
